Why cannabinoid blends?
Cannabinoid blends are an amazing opportunity to produce more intentional and refined experiences. It’s true that everyone reacts to cannabinoids differently depending on their chemical makeup and biology. For instance, many people say that THC is relaxing, but some people may find it’s the opposite. Some cannabinoids are more psychoactive than others, some activate specific receptors, others inhibit those same receptors. Every year more research is being done to better understand how different cannabinoids effect our bodies and how they can differ from person to person.
Naturally, the cannabis flower already produces an array of different cannabinoids and terpenes, all with different concentrations, which depends on strain genetics along with environmental conditions. The symphony of cannabinoids and terpenes that make up each flower strain work together to enhance or alter the effects of one another. This is typically referred to as the “Entourage Effect” or “Ensemble Effect” and is also the main characteristic of full spectrum products.
Throughout history genetics have typically been bred specifically to produce either high amounts of THC or CBD, but now that’s beginning to change with the increasing popularity of other cannabinoids such as THCV, CBN, and CBG.
Below is an example of all the cannabinoids detected in our full spectrum CBD distillate that was extracted from our flower. As you can see, this extract contains not only CBD, but also small amounts of CBC, THC, CBDV, and CBG.
