FAQs

  • Are your products third-party tested?
Yes, all of our products are tested by independent, accredited laboratories. We do not conduct our own testing to ensure unbiased and accurate results.

How do I read a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
One of our COAs gives you data on the cannabinoid profile (THC, CBD, etc.) of your product among other details. Look for the total cannabinoid percentages and ensure all contaminant levels are within acceptable limits. If the Delta 9 THC percentage is < 0.3%, then it falls under the Farm Bill categorization of legal hemp.

What if I can't find a COA for my product?
If you cannot locate a COA for your specific product batch, please contact our customer service team with your product information and batch number. We'll provide you with the appropriate lab report as soon as possible. You can reach out to sales@hempgeneration.com with any inquiries.

  • How is this legal?
The 2018 Farm Bill federally recognizes Cannabis plant material that tests under 0.3% Delta 9 THC as legal hemp. All of our flower and hemp products fall within that legal limit. For Delta 9 products, each unit has under 0.3% Delta 9 by weight. This is verified by public Certificates of Authenticity accessible on our lab reports page.

How are your products different from products in legal states?
States that have legalized recreational marijuana sell plants that are genetically identical to ours, but they have different protocols to follow to remain compliant with government regulations than us. They usually do not have to worry about Delta 9, while states that have not legalized marijuana and have not banned cannabinoids at the state level are able to sell cannabis as legal hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill with a Delta 9 THC percentage of <0.3%. This means that we have to prepare our flower differently, harvest earlier, and use colder storage conditions. The bottom line is this: you are fundamentally getting the same product, legally.

  • What is the difference between THCA, Delta 8 THC, Delta 9 THC, and CBD?
THCA is a chemical precursor to Delta 9 THC, which is the main psychoactive compound found in cannabis colloquially known as THC. THCA can be found in high quantities in both hemp and marijuana, and upon heating up, turns into Delta 9 THC. Delta 8 is a less common variant of THC that is often synthesized from CBD but has similar effects. CBD is a compound found in most cannabis plants that has historically been used to treat pain, insomnia, and inflammation.

    Are these products "real"?
Yes, they're the real deal. We prepare our products to be as potent and useful as possible while remaining legal under the 2018 Farm Bill's provisions on hemp. Our customers and staff enjoy our products like they're the real thing, because they are.

Why don't you carry Delta 9 cartridges?
While we would certainly like to carry D9 carts, there is currently no way to produce a Delta 9 cartridge in a manner that is compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill due to the heat required to produce it.

    What are terpenes?
Terpenes are compounds that give organisms their smell and serve key functions in the organism. Cannabis has historically been found to contain a wide variety of these compounds, sharing them with many other plants. This is why hemp flowers have strong aromas, from musty to lemon to candy. These smell compounds have a much stronger effect inside the body, combining with cannabinoids to form what is called an Entourage effect.

  • Do you need a medical card to buy these products?
No medical card needed! The North Carolina THCA market is one of the least restrictive models for cannabis sale in the US for Farm Bill compliant flower.

How can I pay in-store (what cards, cash)?
You can pay using Discover, Visa, or Mastercard but we do NOT accept American Express for in-store purchases. We accept cash in-store as well.

  • Do we ship/deliver?
We ship to THCA-legal states from sales on our website (which you are likely on right now!) and our local stores offer non-flower delivery (gummies, seltzers, etc) on DoorDash. We do not directly ship flower from our stores.

    Do you have in-store pickup?
We have in-store pickup available for website orders ONLY from our retail store at 2003 Wake Forest Road. Simply choose the shipping option to pick up in store and follow the instructions on the confirmation email.

  • Where is your flower grown?
A large portion of our flower is grown ourselves in greenhouses, but we do source quality indoor-grown flower from other places as well.

  • What is the age limit to buy these products?
You must be 21+ to purchase from Hemp Generation.
